Field Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Supervisor to join our team at York County Parks & Recreation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Youth Soccer Program, ensuring the smooth operation of the program, and providing exceptional customer service to participants and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the setup and operation of soccer fields and facilities
- Coordinate with officials, staff, and volunteers to ensure the success of the program
- Monitor activities and ensure compliance with policies, rules, and regulations
- Report any accidents or injuries and maintain accurate records
- Oversee the issuance, care, and maintenance of equipment
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Current enrollment or graduation from a college or university degree program in recreation, physical education, or a related field, and 1 to 2 years of experience in recreation work preferred
- Must exercise considerable tact and courtesy when interacting with program participants, parents, and support staff
- Requires an acceptable criminal background check
- Experience officiating or supervising youth athletic events
- Experience teaching or coaching youth soccer
The Field Supervisor will be required to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends. The position requires the ability to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
