About the Job

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety. As a Maintenance of Traffic Laborer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our asphalt paving and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct traffic and control the flow of vehicles through construction zones using STOP/SLOW paddles and flags.
  • Set up and maintain traffic control devices, including cones, barricades, and signs, to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.
  • Monitor lane closures and ensure that all traffic control devices are in place and functioning properly.
  • Communicate with dump truck operators and provide directions to dump areas.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the safe and efficient operation of our construction projects.
Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including traffic cones and barricades.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from supervisors.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
