The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner position at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our team.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our General Pediatrics Unit as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct patient care, develop and implement individualized care plans, and promote a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and effective direct patient care to neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans.
  • Participate in orientation and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel.
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate certification.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification within 30 days.
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement by NM.

Additionally, physical conditions include heavy work exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people.
