Responsibilities



Position Summary:

The Supervisor of Clinic Operations is responsible for providing strategic leadership to optimize the efficiency of service delivery systems and enhance financial performance. This role involves engaging staff and nurturing a clinic culture that emphasizes compassion and patient-centered care, in alignment with the values of Dignity Health.

The Supervisor will oversee the daily operational functions of the clinic, collaborating closely with staff and providers to ensure that all operational and financial objectives are achieved.

Additionally, this position is accountable for protecting patient health and financial information.


Qualifications



Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven ability to effectively supervise and motivate engaged teams while collaborating with healthcare providers.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn about budgeting processes, management reporting, accounting, purchasing, and patient billing systems.
  • Proficient in computer systems and software, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, clinical information systems, electronic medical records, and billing applications.
  • Understanding of health insurance models, including HMO, PPO, and capitated risk plans as they pertain to providers and practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in outpatient practice management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the assigned medical group is advantageous.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a unionized environment is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
