Therapist Job Description

The primary objective of this Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) position is to provide exceptional clinical care to individuals of all ages at Brave Counseling and Psychiatry in our Columbia, MO office and future satellite locations, including telehealth. We prioritize collaborative, holistic care, allowing clients to thoroughly discuss their concerns with their therapists. When additional services are required, such as medication management, the therapist will refer clients to Brave clinicians or assist with community referrals. The therapist will collaborate with Brave staff to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling, or related field
  • Active, provisional license (PLPC) in the State of Missouri under the supervision of a fully licensed professional counselor (LPC)
  • Advanced training in at least one niche market for counseling services (e.g., trauma, anxiety, children and teens, grief, EMDR, etc.)
Schedule & Hours:

We will work with you to determine a schedule that balances your work-life needs. The productivity expectation is 30 billable hours per week. Our office hours are Monday through Sunday, 8 AM to 10 PM, with a minimum of 15 hours during peak hours (Monday through Friday, 4 PM to 9 PM, or weekends). Employees may be asked to adjust their schedules to accommodate special events.

Location:

The primary office location is in Columbia, MO. Telehealth and virtual meetings will be held as needed. Employees are expected to be on-site for in-person or virtual care.
