Senior Analytical Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analytical Scientist to join our team at Cambrex. As a key member of our analytical team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of analytical methods, providing technical expertise, and mentoring junior scientists.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement analytical methods for in-process control, release testing, and stability monitoring of bulk drug substances and drug products under cGMP guidelines.
- Lead the development of new analytical techniques and methods, and evaluate existing ones to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior scientists, and mentor them in the development of their analytical skills.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of analytical methods and techniques.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in analytical chemistry and apply this knowledge to improve our analytical capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field, with a minimum of 14 years of experience in a related industry, or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience, or a PhD with 6+ years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of experimental design, including chemistry supporting method development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and mentor others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
- Working knowledge of advanced laboratory techniques, including HPLC, GC, and other analytical methods.
- Subject matter expert in one or more instruments, such as GC, LC, dissolution, TGA/DSC.
- Ability to read and execute compendial methodologies, and to write technical documents with minimal errors.
- Strong understanding of current FDA and cGMP regulations, and the ability to ensure compliance with these regulations.
- Hands-on experience in analytical techniques, such as HPLC, GC, and other methods.
