Key Responsibilities:- Lead and execute automation design teams on complex projects, coordinating with various disciplines as necessary.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide training on control systems design and development.
- Design and implement front-end platforms for HVAC control systems.
- Enhance configuration, programming, networking, and diagnostic standards.
- Engineer and implement programming solutions.
- Oversee the modification of programming logic to align with operational sequences and procedures.
- Design control and monitoring systems for HVAC and mechanical equipment.
- Maintain and update applications for existing control systems with minimal oversight.
- Work with advanced automation systems from leading control vendors.
- Drive the continuous improvement of design standards in configuration, programming, networking, and diagnostics.
- Review engineered shop drawings and submittals, ensuring accuracy in sequences of operations and installation drawings.
- Participate in design reviews focused on building automation.
- Assist in the design, configuration, programming, and troubleshooting of BAS networks.
- Understand IT/OT interface requirements, including networking components.
- Recommend and implement best practices in Critical Environment Programs.
- Develop process documentation and training materials.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, subcontractors, project managers, and commissioning agents regarding project status.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is advantageous.
- Experience in Data Center Engineering with a focus on Automation and Controls.
- 5+ years of experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), Building Control Systems (BCM), or Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Familiarity with controls products from major manufacturers.
- Ability to interpret and audit technical drawings and control diagrams.
- Experience in PLC programming.
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment design and controls.
- Experience with common BAS protocols.
- Strong client-facing skills and ability to serve as a primary contact on projects.
- Self-motivated with excellent prioritization skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and AutoCAD/Revit.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Minimal travel required.
