POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Sales Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support for Hunting and Archery products, excluding firearms. This role involves engaging with customers to assist them in their purchasing decisions and ensuring a welcoming shopping environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all patrons. This includes assisting customers in making informed buying choices by:
- Assessing and understanding customer needs,
- Offering tailored product recommendations based on this assessment,
- Promoting various programs such as membership options and in-store services.
- Develops the ability to effectively showcase products to customers.
- Maintains organization and presentation of merchandise within the retail space dedicated to non-firearm sales.
- Restocks shelves in accordance with merchandising standards.
- Continues to enhance product knowledge through ongoing training.
- Stays informed about current promotions and ensures accurate pricing and signage.
- Assists with seasonal merchandise transitions.
- Keeps the work area tidy and well-supplied.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 0-2 years in a retail environment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient in customer service and sales for Hunting and Archery products (non-firearms).
- Ability to merchandise and stock products effectively.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Not applicable.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to stand and walk during shifts.
- Occasionally required to climb ladders or stairs.
- Frequent communication with customers and team members.
- Occasional repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers.
- May need to operate machinery or power tools occasionally.
- Light physical work, including moving objects up to 20 pounds frequently, and occasionally lifting heavier items with assistance.
- May work in confined or noisy spaces occasionally.
INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT:
- Tasks are performed under general supervision, utilizing established procedures. Limited alternatives may be available for problem resolution, requiring occasional independent judgment.
