SUMMARY:
The Sales Counter Associate plays a crucial role within the store environment. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of store operations and a commitment to collaborating with team members and management to achieve success while delivering exceptional customer service. The individual in this role must demonstrate a strong desire to contribute to the business's growth in a profitable manner, maintaining the highest standards of integrity. Achieving success in this position involves consistently executing all job-related objectives, policies, and procedures in alignment with the core values of Fisher Auto Parts, which emphasize providing "The best quality at very competitive prices." At Fisher Auto Parts, "Service to our customers is our primary objective."

NOTE:
Given the sensitive nature of the information related to this position, the Sales Counter Associate must uphold the highest level of professionalism regarding ethics, confidentiality, and information security. This role reports directly to the Store Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sales Counter Associate is responsible for various aspects of the store's daily operations, including:
  • Effectively managing daily business operations to ensure alignment with the company's core values;
  • Meeting sales targets to ensure the store achieves or exceeds budgeted goals;
  • Fostering a safe and respectful atmosphere for both associates and customers at all times.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, DUTIES, AND ABILITIES:
  • Maintaining personal safety standards throughout the store;
  • Delivering high-quality customer service, including prompt handling of orders;
  • Ensuring store appearance and merchandising meet company standards;
  • Exhibiting excellent telephone communication and etiquette;
  • Thriving in a fast-paced wholesale/retail environment;
  • Communicating effectively with peers, both verbally and in writing;
  • Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a diverse team;
  • Adhering to performance standards set for the Sales Counter Associate;
  • Utilizing available resources efficiently;
  • Building strong relationships with associates, customers, and support staff;
  • Being accountable for achieving personal and store results;
  • Maintaining high standards of customer service to create positive experiences;
  • Fostering customer loyalty;
  • Leveraging marketing, training, and customer technology programs to enhance sales and market share;
  • Utilizing computerized systems for inventory control, invoicing, and customer transactions;
  • Providing exceptional customer service;
  • Possessing a working knowledge of automotive systems;
  • Learning to perform various shop functions as required;
  • Conducting physical inventories and managing stock;
  • Stocking shelves and fulfilling customer orders.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred;
  • A satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report must be obtained prior to hiring;
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test;
  • ASE Certification preferred but not required at the time of hire;
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Fisher Auto Parts Employee Handbook.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Must be flexible to work various days, evenings, and weekends as needed to provide quality service while contributing to the business's growth with integrity and profitability.
