We are seeking a skilled Pastry Assistant to join our team at Pyramid Global Hospitality. As a Pastry Assistant, you will be responsible for performing all baking and pastry functions, maintaining a commitment to guest service and employee development, and ensuring the highest quality while controlling food costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food items designated by the sous chef according to Forum standard recipes and policies.
  • Responsible for food requisition storage, product rotation, ordering of pastry/baking supplies.
  • Receiving food requisitions checking for food products quality and amount.
  • Responsible for the care and cleanliness of all kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure that the baking station is clean and that all food items are properly covered and stored at the end of shift.
  • Execution of pastry food items for all Restaurants including bar David, the Dining room and events as needed.
  • Consult with the sous chef on daily and weekly banquet forecast and special functions.
  • Monitor production and quality levels of all food products.

Requirements:

  • Three years of culinary experience in a similar operation.
  • Culinary school or related experience.
  • Knowledge of baking and pastry production.
  • Ability to develop new themed desserts.
  • Knowledge of menu preparation, ordering and production organization.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Creative, innovative and assertive personality.
