About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Accounting Officer to join our executive leadership team. As a key member of our organization, you will contribute to the strategic direction of the company while ensuring the financial health and integrity of our business.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing all accounting operations, including billing, financial reporting, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and revenue recognition. Additionally, they will coordinate with external auditors to ensure all audit issues are resolved and compliance requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations
  • Coordinate with external auditors
  • Ensure SEC reporting requirements are met
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive job cost system
  • Direct financial planning and budgeting processes
  • Manage relationships with insurance providers
  • Oversee transaction processing systems

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or Master's degree in Accounting is highly desirable)
  • Active CPA certification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position (preferably within the energy industry)
  • Prior public accounting experience
  • Proven experience in coordinating with external auditors and managing SEC reporting
  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
  • Experience with public company transformation (IPO)
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Salary and Benefits

This is a competitive compensation package, including a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated salary range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000 per year.
