Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled Junior Fire Protection Engineer to support our Design and Engineering team in the USA. As a key member of our team, you will participate in the fire protection discipline team on multiple concurrent projects, advancing design efforts and making design decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advance design efforts and make design decisions on fire alarm, smoke control, fire suppression, and other related systems.
  • Participate on design teams to develop construction-ready drawing packages with inter-discipline coordination.
  • Design for available capacity, redundancy, reliability, efficiency, and safety, as well as constructability and cost.
  • Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys, data collection for system studies, system audits, and collaboration with clients' team members.
  • Understand and apply industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as NFPA.
  • Work with the Engineering team to develop sealed drawings and specifications.

Requirements:

  • BS in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Fire Protection Engineering.
  • Professional license (e.g., EIT/PE or GIT/PG) is preferred.
  • Lean design and construction experience is a plus.
  • LEED Accredited Professional is a plus.
