Overview:
Under the supervision of the designated Supervisor, the Study Hall Monitor is responsible for:
- Managing the check-in and check-out process for student-athletes
- Overseeing student activities
- Assisting students in locating campus resources
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and close the study lounge at specified times
- Monitor the entry and exit of student-athletes in the Library and Learning Center
- Help maintain an effective and conducive learning environment in both the BDAC and LLC
- Guide student-athletes in navigating university educational systems
- Prepare and submit a nightly report to the Supervisor summarizing any issues
- Adhere to all athletic and library staff policies and regulations
- Uphold standards of the Student Code of Conduct
- Collaborate with supervisors and fellow monitors on a weekly basis
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have completed at least some college coursework, up to the level of Sophomore
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 for both semester and overall
- Exhibit a high degree of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a USU college student familiar with systems such as Banner, Canvas, MyUSU, etc.

ADA Compliance:
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and contaminants, but may experience occasional temperature changes. The role requires regular sitting and repetitive hand motions, as well as frequent reaching with hands and arms. Employees may need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
