Job Overview

Position Objective: This role serves as the representative for Supply Chain Management in relation to prospective and ongoing business within the Program Team initiatives, acting as the primary contact for SCM and ensuring adherence to target costs for new projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee target costing processes for new initiatives.
  • Function as the Program Manager for SCM, focusing on Timing, APQP, and Cost Management until the Start of Production (SOP).
  • Ensure seamless launches of products.
  • Facilitate concurrent engineering efforts and early engagement with prototype suppliers.
  • Coordinate technical evaluations with Supplier Development, Commodity Buyers, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Collaborate with Commodity Buyers for estimates, RFQs, and sourcing recommendations.
  • Achieve consensus with the program team regarding sourcing decisions.
  • Manage all Change Management requirements impacting suppliers.
  • Document and share SCM lessons learned with the program team.
  • Organize efforts by Business Unit and align with the Design Center.
  • Implement Intelligent Forward Planning (CIP).
  • Conduct Procurement Market Benchmark Studies.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all business activities on behalf of Purem Novi Inc. while adhering to applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Support and comply with all local and corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Ensure quality by demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness, following all relevant policies related to quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Educational Background / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive sector.
  • Proficiency with an ERP system is essential.
  • Willingness to travel domestically by car or plane.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive financial reports and projections.
  • Proficient in applying mathematical concepts and operations.
  • Capable of reading and understanding simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Strong analytical skills to synthesize complex information and design workflows.
  • Business acumen to understand the implications of decisions on the business.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement practices for manufacturability.
  • Familiarity with engineering fundamentals, mechanical systems, automotive systems, and exhaust systems.
  • Project Management skills to develop plans, coordinate projects, and manage team activities effectively.
