Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rooms Division Manager to join our team at The Capitol District Marriott. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Rooms Division, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our hotel meets the highest standards of quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Rooms Division team, including front office, housekeeping, and loss prevention operations.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure that all Rooms Division operations are running smoothly and efficiently, with a focus on quality, productivity, and guest satisfaction.
  • Financial Management: Manage and control Rooms Division expenses, including payroll, inventory, and other operational costs, to ensure that they are in line with budget and business demands.
  • Guest Service: Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and that their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
  • Team Development: Develop and motivate the Rooms Division team to achieve their full potential, with a focus on training, development, and succession planning.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including guests, employees, and other hotel departments, to ensure that everyone is informed and aligned with hotel goals and objectives.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve problems promptly and efficiently, with a focus on finding solutions that benefit the hotel and its guests.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2-4 years' experience in Rooms Operations, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
  • Education: A Four (4) year college degree in a related field, such as hospitality or business.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on quality, productivity, and guest satisfaction.
  • Certifications: CPR Certification and/or First Aid Training preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, stretch, and reach primarily to physically and visually inspect all areas of the hotel.
