The Assembly Operator Technician II is a crucial member of the Silgan Dispensing Systems team, playing a significant role in the efficient production of our dispensing solutions.

Role Responsibilities
The Assembly Operator Technician II is responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency of our production equipment. Key duties include:
- Ensuring the safe and efficient execution of the assembly process with a focus on high quality and repeatability.
- Executing complex machine setups, including dip tube changes and mechanical part replacements.
- Conducting quality inspections during production runs in accordance with established quality plans.
- Measuring, examining, and testing assembly units to identify malfunctions or deviations from specifications.
- Performing preventive maintenance on assembly machinery to minimize downtime.
- Identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, cost reductions, and quality enhancements.
- Participating in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) reviews and supporting Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of quality inspection and production results.
- Escalating any safety, quality, or performance issues as necessary.
- Executing part changes, including mold and mechanical part replacements.
- Conducting diagnostics inspections on machinery to determine root causes and corrective actions.
- Generating ideas for continuous improvement and actively supporting CI initiatives.
- Assisting with on-time delivery by operating assembly machines as needed.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should possess:
- Basic shop math and computer skills.
- Fundamental machine troubleshooting abilities.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
- Analytical skills to interpret and report data based on machine performance.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to evolving business needs.

- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A collaborative spirit to assist cross-functional teams as needed.
Physical Requirements
Reasonable accommodations will be provided. Candidates should be able to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the production floor. Physical demands include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, stooping, crouching, color determination, and grasping.
