Assembly Technician

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Allied Motion Technologies Inc. in Watertown, NY.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all operations required for the manufacture and assembly of motor components, motors, and other motion control products and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loads and unloads previously setup machines to perform fastening, force fitting, or light metal-cutting operations on the assembly line.
- Inspects components and assemblies both visually and using inspection tools as required.
- Uses prints, job orders, operations methods sheets (OMS), work instructions, and other specifications to ensure that proper and within specification materials and tools are utilized.
- Inventories (cycle counts) materials in the work area.
- Prepares required documentation.
Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math, and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
- Good manual dexterity to manipulate small objects.
- Ability to read blueprints, calipers, and micrometers. Soldering, lead wiring, and forming experience is a plus.
Working Conditions:
The Assembly Technician will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on quality and productivity. The successful candidate will be required to work up to 29 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with varying shifts from 6:30am to 10:30pm.
