We are in search of a Vice President of Pre-Construction Operations to lead our vertical construction division focused on non-residential projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in estimating projects exceeding $200 million.

Relocation Assistance: We provide relocation support for candidates moving to the Miami area. For those residing outside the region, a travel schedule of one week per month to our headquarters in Miami is available. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive plan and vehicle allowance.

MasTec's Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group (CE&I) generates $4 billion in annual revenue, providing construction services for a diverse range of facilities, including industrial plants, power generation sites, and renewable energy installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and present Lemartec's Construction Services Program to clients.
  • Facilitate project kick-offs, design charrettes, design reviews, and client meetings.
  • Assist Business Development with strategic capture initiatives.
  • Maintain and enhance Lemartec's Client Satisfaction Program.
  • Network with clients, design firms, and partners to cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Support sector managers within Lemartec.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for the Preconstruction department.
  • Contribute to annual planning efforts related to Preconstruction strategy.
  • Manage and track budgets and annual plans for the Preconstruction Department.
  • Act as a liaison between operations, estimating, and design management.
  • Oversee budget control during the preconstruction phase of projects.
  • Prepare Cost Variance Reports and manage construction budgets.
  • Provide value-engineering solutions considering cost, schedule, and lifecycle implications.
  • Ensure the estimating department has the latest design information.
  • Prepare and oversee the development of all pre-construction estimates.
  • Review and coordinate construction schedules and staffing needs.
  • Support the permit coordination process as necessary.
  • Lead design and coordination meetings, maintaining a log of outstanding items.
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Participate in business development initiatives and assist in RFP and RFQ responses.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and industry influencers.
  • Represent Lemartec at industry events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in estimating, design management, or field management.
