Overview:
Become a vital member of the Albany Medical Center's Critical Care Float Pool. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop and enhance critical care expertise across various units, including:
- Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU
- Medical ICU
- Coronary Care Unit
- Cardiovascular ICU
- Intermediate Care ICU (MSICU)
Additionally, RNs in the Critical Care Float Pool may expand their skills in Emergency Department care and neuro-progressive care settings.
As part of the Region's only Level I trauma center, you will engage in diverse critical care environments.
Responsibilities:The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for assessing, coordinating, planning, directing, implementing, and managing the needs of assigned patients throughout their care journey, focusing on their progress toward discharge, especially during transitions within the acute care setting.
In this role, you will oversee the delivery and coordination of patient care provided by the caregiving team, ensuring that competent and compassionate care is consistently delivered to all stakeholders, including referring facilities, hospital staff, and patients across inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
**Registered Professional Nurses participating in the Nursing Professional Advancement Pathway (NPAP) are expected to progress from novice to competent within their specialty and may apply for advancement to proficient or expert status as outlined in the NPAP.
