Job Summary:
The Albany Medical Center Critical Care Float Pool is seeking a skilled Registered Professional Nurse to join our dynamic team. As a Critical Care Float Pool Nurse, you will have the opportunity to gain and practice critical care skills in various areas, including Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiovascular ICU, and intermediate care ICU.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the needs of assigned patients throughout the episode of care with a focus on progress toward discharge.
- Deliver and coordinate patient care provided by the caregiving team, ensuring competent and compassionate care is uniformly provided to customers.
- Participate in the Nursing Professional Advancement Pathway (NPAP) and progress from novice to competent within a specialty.
- Apply for advancement to proficient or expert status as outlined in the NPAP.
Requirements:
- Registered Professional Nurse licensure in the state of New York.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
