Job Summary

Carmeuse Americas is seeking a highly skilled Mine Engineer to join our team. As a Mine Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our assigned sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mine plans to maximize yield and recovery at the lowest cost
  • Design and develop mine systems, including quarry systems, equipment, structures, processes, and systems
  • Work with operations to address immediate issues not anticipated by the mine plan
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement projects to enhance mine operations
  • Collaborate with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Manage teams with diverse skills and education levels
  • Make sound decisions based on cost/benefit implications
  • Travel up to 30% domestically and internationally
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience performing mining engineering duties at an underground or surface operation
  • Ability to address environmentally sensitive situations
  • Proactive attitude towards mine safety
  • Experience working with regulatory authorities
  • Experience managing teams
  • Ability to travel
