About the Role

Carmeuse is seeking a highly skilled Mine Engineer to join our team in the Americas. As a Mine Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our assigned sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mine plans to maximize yield and recovery at the lowest cost
  • Design and develop production improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with operations teams to address immediate issues and develop solutions
  • Manage and supervise hourly crews, as needed
  • Identify and record problems related to safety, the environment, and quality, and recommend solutions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in mining engineering duties at an underground or surface operation
  • Proven ability to work with regulatory authorities and manage teams with diverse skills and education levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety and environmental responsibility
