Electrical Engineer

Risk Mitigation Consulting (RMC) is seeking an exceptional Electrical Engineer to join our mission-driven team in San Diego, CA. As a hybrid role, you will work on-site at a local government facility and remotely, with approximately 25% of your time spent traveling OCONUS. This is a full-time position that offers a range of benefits, including comprehensive health insurance, participation in our Annual Bonus Program, and a 401(k) Plan with contributions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary expertise in electrical utilities systems, including medium voltage (69-kV or less) electrical substation equipment and distribution, as well as low voltage (600V or less) related to building level power systems.
- Conduct mission assurance assessments on military facilities and utility infrastructure, evaluating reliability, resiliency, and redundancy.
- Collect, compile, and analyze data, writing reports on observations and recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project objectives, communicating technical issues to customers and other stakeholders.
- Develop and participate in engineering and internal company product development meetings and trainings, providing technical input to proposals, articles, brochures, reports, and manuals.
- 4-Year Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) Accredited Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years' experience in technical field (electrical).
- Engineering Design and Engineering Assessments (Field Work) experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry standards and relevant federal policies, ensuring compliance and quality.
- Background or prior experience in the military, especially in military facilities design or construction, contributing valuable insights and perspectives.
- Professional Engineering Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) credentials.
- Energy Management Expertise: Certification as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
- Project Management Proficiency: A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
