Job Title: Diagnostic Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. in Douglasville, Georgia.

Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Sonographer will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, and vascular exams. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, and vascular exams
  • Prepare patients for exams, including positioning and preparing equipment
  • Operate ultrasound equipment, including adjusting settings and taking images
  • Review images and reports for quality and accuracy
  • Communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Sonography Program
  • Registered Medical Sonographer or ARRT Sonography
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Minimum 1 year clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with ultrasound equipment and software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
