Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in Wailuku, Hawaii. As a Pharmacy Technician Trainee, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy operations and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists with filling prescriptions, processing medication orders, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Restock medications, supplies, and equipment to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, members, and healthcare personnel, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operate cash registers, process payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and reporting.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge in pharmacy operations and patient care.
Requirements
  • Previous pharmacy experience or enrollment in a pharmacy technician training program.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process financial transactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a pharmacy technician training program.
  • Post-high school coursework or training in pharmacy operations or a related field.
