Job Objective
The Senior Representative for Member Services plays a crucial role in comprehensively understanding and addressing a wide range of member service needs. This includes managing transactions, facilitating account openings and closures, processing consumer and real estate loan applications, resolving disputes, and providing assistance to members regarding their accounts. A thorough understanding of the Credit Union's offerings is essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service and sales capabilities, along with knowledge of personal finance, the ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively.
Core Responsibilities
Operational and Technical Expertise:
- Products and Services: Maintain a solid understanding of all deposit and consumer loan products and services offered by HFCU. Familiarity with operational systems is necessary to efficiently execute: Teller Transactions, New memberships/accounts; New services; Loan applications/processing; Basic IRA processing; Equity applications; and Basic Mortgage Knowledge.
- Policies and Compliance: Demonstrate a confident understanding of all HFCU policies and procedures in line with industry regulations, and how they apply to daily operations.
- Innovative Solutions: This role also involves educating members about new technologies introduced by HFCU.
Sales and Customer Engagement:
- Interact with members in a professional and courteous manner, assessing their needs to identify opportunities for education and cross-selling products and services. Possess a strong understanding of Service Plus and TMA training to meet customer service expectations and metrics effectively. Be proactive in addressing member inquiries and offering additional educational resources and opportunities.
Collaborative Team Player:
- Work collaboratively within a team to achieve overall objectives related to products and services, regardless of individual roles.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of recent experience in customer service and sales within a financial services context.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Professional demeanor.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong decision-making capabilities.
- Self-motivated and driven.

- Onsite work required.
