Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist Floater to join our team at H-E-B Grocery. As a Pharmacy Floater, you will provide store coverage within an H-E-B Region, fostering a caring and team-oriented environment to ensure responsive healthcare and exceed patient expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide pharmacist coverage at any store location within assigned Region, based on Region-specific guidelines.
  • Work closely with Pharmacy Manager, other Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Care Representatives (PCRs) to ensure the pharmacy provides superior patient care and customer service.
  • Perform functions related to managing and operating a pharmacy in a retail environment, including managing production efficiency through labor schedules and working collaboratively with Top Store Leaders and Regional Director.
  • Assist with Partner training and Partner readiness/competency, participate in career planning for direct reports, and implement/maintain workflow and quality control methods.
  • Ensure efficient operation of systems and applications, maintain automated prescription processing equipment, and oversee third-party prescription processing, adjudication review, and resolution of third-party issues.
  • Perform drug utilization reviews, ensure accurate inventory management, and comply with proper processes.
  • Assist with biannual inventory of controlled substances and physical pharmacy inventory, and use RxIMS to manage inventory according to seasonal/budgetary requirements.
  • Perform 7-point check to approve processed prescriptions, verify Technician/PCR work, and assist with prescription questions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Active license/in good standing with all regulatory agencies.
  • 2+ years of Pharmacist experience (Pharmacy Floater II, Pharmacy Floater III).
  • TSBP-registered Pharmacist; TSBP recertification at least 60 days prior to expiration date.
  • TSBP-certified immunizer.
  • TSBP Preceptor certification after one year of pharmacy practice.
  • Successful completion of all required training (H-E-B 40-hour pharmacist orientation, federally and statemandated training, HIPAA, FWA, Company orientation, and appropriate management courses).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expert knowledge/understanding of systems and applications that support production (RxEVO, RxIMS, PartnerNet, counting technology such as ScriptPro, Kirby Lester, point of sale), and all pharmacy-related management tasks.
  • Understanding of H-E-B initiatives and operations (Greet, Ask & Thank, 5S, CID, Central Fill, Contact Center, Refill Express, compounding, and specialty operations).
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Expert problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and organization skills; precision-oriented.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks in stressful situations.
Work Environment

Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment, travel to stores in assigned Region/companywide as required, maintain open availability, and work rotating shifts and weekends to meet business needs.
