Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of economic development projects, including workforce development, land use and planning, business services, and civic engagement.
  • Manage project schedules, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments, arrange events, and manage travel itineraries for economic development staff.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, documents, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including data and compliance, grants accountants, and program managers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including community organizations, businesses, and government agencies.
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Economic Development, including correspondence, budget monitoring, and marketing materials.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, public policy, or urban planning.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in administration, coordination, or customer service positions.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Collaborative and solution-oriented approach.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office, social media, and desktop publishing.
