We are seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our team in the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive healthcare to patients in an outpatient and inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities- Manage patient care within assigned area and/or area of expertise
- Obtain patient health history and interpret test results
- Perform physical exams and record findings
- Prescribe and order pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions
- Develop treatment plans and educational plans for patients and families
- Assist with scheduling patients for procedures and coordinate with other services
- Order consultations and referrals as needed
- Document treatment provided and patient outcomes
- Participate in educational experiences of nursing students, medical students, residents, and other healthcare disciplines
- Master's degree in Nursing or Doctorate degree in Nursing required
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Illinois required
- Staff Nursing experience in Pediatrics preferred
- Staff Nursing experience in Pulmonology preferred
