Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Engineer to join our team at Samsung. As a key member of our electronics product development team, you will be responsible for leading the development of electronics product requirements, feature requirements, systems, and performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct deep-dive customer sessions on 4G/5G call processing related features and air interface technologies.
- Analyze customer electronics requirements and convert them into system requirements.
- Capture detail design for the development team for all Samsung electronics product features.
- Lead technical discussions on Samsung electronics products and scheduler-related features with customer vertical organizations.
- Author technical proposals, technical research, and white papers, design documents, operator network design, RFI/RFP, and patent filings.
- Accountable for leading field integration testing efforts (FFA/FIT/FSA) of all 4G/5G key features with customers.
- Evaluate new product and software releases, and third-party product evaluation to build product synergies.
- Translate and communicate complex technical design considerations between the Samsung sales team and carriers' network business.
- Ensure that customer commitments are achieved according to plan.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related job titles.
- Experience with the wireless industry, including defining direction and providing specific instruction for engineering projects/programs.
- Knowledge of 3GPP standards as it applies to LTE networks and 5G NR Networks.
- Experience with CDMA/EVDO, 5G, and LTE/Volte technologies.
- Optimization, testing, drive-data, and peg count analysis experience.
- Base Station Vendor equipment experience.
- RF and data network protocols experience.
- Mapping Software experience, including MapInfo.
- 4G and 5G new site launch and KPI and drive-based optimization experience.
