Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Transportation Planner to join our team at Mine Safety Appliances. As a key member of our Supply Chain department, you will be responsible for coordinating transportation activities with internal and external customers, including tracking and tracing as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Procurement, Shipping, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless transportation operations
- Work closely with other MSA departments to identify and implement process improvements
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor and analyze transportation data to optimize routes and reduce costs
Requirements:
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Proficiency in transportation management systems and software
- Experience in supply chain or logistics a plus
