Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation Control Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • In-depth knowledge of automation and electrical design principles
  • Proficient in working with PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, EFMs, and POCs (e.g., Allan Bradley, Totalflow, ROCs, Coriolis)
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support various job areas
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and participate in an on-call rotation
  • 7+ years of experience in Automation Integration/Programming
  • 3+ years of experience in Oil Field Process Facilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of facility commissioning with a focus on automation control systems
  • Maintain project schedules and status reports to ensure timely completion
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of facility equipment, process flow, and automation control systems
  • Develop and validate automation programs in compliance with engineering documentation
  • Utilize various software for PLC programming and HMI development
  • Complete documentation to support current AS-BUILT post-commissioning
  • Adhere to company Management of Change (MOC) processes and client standards
  • Provide training and support for operations and automation specialists
  • Assist in troubleshooting and basic repairs of automation systems
  • Identify and resolve communication issues within field devices
  • Ensure alarm systems comply with client standards and protocols
  • Communicate effectively with Asset Teams regarding project activities
  • Participate in evaluations of new technologies and their applications
  • Collaborate with clients to assist in project design and operational philosophy
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives
  • Exhibit strong teamwork and collaboration skills, prioritizing safety for all stakeholders
