As a skilled Plumbing Systems Specialist at METRO, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining all plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures at our facilities and properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing codes and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain all plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures at METRO facilities and properties.
- Read and interpret plumbing and piping prints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Complete and submit material and equipment requirements.
- Clean, maintain, and service sanitary and storm system sumps, drains, waste lines, lift stations, and waste treatment plants.
- Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Utilize pressure testing equipment, gauges, thermometers, and other instruments.
- Able to solder, braze, weld, cut, and thread all types of piping and tubing.
- Notify supervisor of malfunctioning equipment.
- Assist other trades and move equipment as required.
- Maintain inventory of plumbing supplies and equipment.
- Must be available for emergencies, required overtime, varied work schedules, and shifts.
- Clean assigned areas and equipment.
- Promote safety awareness and follow safety procedures to reduce or eliminate accidents.
- Perform other job-related duties as required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a Plumber.
Knowledge and Skills
Valid State of Texas Driver's License. Valid State of Texas Journeyman Plumber License. Good working knowledge of plumbing codes. Able to complete/fill-out written reports, records, and forms. Able to maintain and/or obtain additional licensing or certifications as required.
