POSITION OVERVIEW

In this role, you will operate with minimal oversight, serving as a mentor, facilitator, educator, leader, and advisor to both staff and management.
Complete the necessary competencies for the role during the designated introductory period. Additional related responsibilities may be assigned as needed. This position will primarily focus on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and residency coordination.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

EDUCATION: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: A Master's Degree in a relevant specialization is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience is required. Proficiency in word processing and presentation software is essential. Ongoing competence in your area of expertise is expected.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience in Staff Development or Nursing Education is advantageous.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSE: A current Texas State Nursing License is mandatory.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSE: Certification in Professional Staff Development and/or Clinical Specialty is preferred.

REQUIRED TRAINING: Must possess an active healthcare provider Basic Life Support certification upon hire (ARC or AHA); however, AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
