We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Banquet Cook to join our culinary team at Omni Hotels & Resorts. As a Banquet Cook, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and food production outlets.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical and administrative assistance to the Executive Sous Chef to ensure effective operation of the kitchen and food production outlets.
- Support restaurant chef/sous chef and supervisor in maintaining high standards of food quality and consistency.
- Help to train staff on food preparation and presentation techniques.
- Control quality and consistency of all food served, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards.
- Insure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to service, and that all food supplies necessary for service are in appropriate supply on a timely basis.
- Assist in controlling food cost, and ensure that all kitchen equipment is in good working order.
- Directs proper sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment, and ensures that all staff follows Ecosure rules and procedures.
- Keep kitchen clean and organized every day, and ensure that all staff is aware of their responsibilities in maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Monitors safety in the kitchen, and ensures that all staff is aware of their responsibilities in maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ensure food quality and consistency, and know hotel and kitchen expectations and the proper guidelines.
- Help to checks and controls prep and inventory lists for kitchen staff, and ensure that all staff is aware of their responsibilities in maintaining accurate records.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include AM/PM shifts, holidays, and weekends.
- Required to have at least 6 – 12 months culinary experience in a hotel food and beverage environment.
- Must be Serve Safe Food Handlers Certified.
