Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient access to our medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and verify patient demographic and insurance information
  • Process patient registrations and billing
  • Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality
  • Perform various administrative tasks to support patient access
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree in a related medical field preferred
  • Experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working Environment

This is a non-exempt position that requires working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. You will be interacting with patients, medical staff, and support staff daily, and must be able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
