Position Summary

We are in search of a Cloud DevOps Engineer who will leverage their expertise in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of predominantly Linux-based systems to support a robust software development initiative involving over 100 developers. The chosen candidate will enhance the reliability and efficiency of a hosted vCenter VxRail setup. Responsibilities will also include managing commercial Cloud environments, bolstering the security posture of the domain through ongoing system health monitoring, and resolving any technical issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance across various projects, evaluating and implementing solutions to advance infrastructure.
  • Deliver daily operational support for Linux systems and associated applications.
  • Ensure system integrity by monitoring security feeds and dashboards as part of Continuous Monitoring efforts.
  • Oversee application and operating system performance; document and address incidents effectively.
  • Establish and uphold standards and procedures for applications across a multifaceted computing environment.
  • Utilize scripting and automation tools to streamline processes.
  • Regularly assess and apply security patches as necessary.
  • Collaborate directly with development teams and assess vendor products to meet their requirements.
  • Support tier-3 troubleshooting for a small team, ensuring the implementation of appropriate solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Redhat and Centos.
  • At least 2 years of experience with VMWare ESXi, vCenter server, HA, DRS, and replication.
  • 2+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, and self-hosted solutions.
  • Experience with standard development tools such as Gitlab, Github, Jira, and Confluence for over 2 years.
  • 2+ years of experience in network engineering.
  • Practical experience with Ansible and Puppet, including playbooks for instance provisioning and configuration management.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a clearance up to TS/SCI.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Linux System Administrator Certification.
  • Certifications related to IT Security (CISSP, GIAC, Security+).

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able and willing to obtain and maintain a government clearance up to TS/SCI.
