Job Summary

As a key member of our enforcement team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and laws governing the taxi and limousine industry in New York City.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of for-hire vehicles to ensure compliance with regulations and laws
  • Issue summonses and citations to drivers and vehicle owners for non-compliance
  • Participate in enforcement activities, including traffic stops and arrests
  • Prepare and submit reports on enforcement activities
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective enforcement and compliance
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid New York State driver's license required
  • Special Patrolman status required
  • Ability to pass a physical fitness exam and background check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions

As a Taxi and Limousine Enforcement Officer, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to the elements. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
