Job Overview

In this role, you will report directly to the Retail Store Manager, assisting patrons in locating and acquiring the necessary products within a retail setting while promoting additional purchases.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:
  • Welcome customers and ascertain their needs and preferences
  • Stay informed about ongoing promotions, payment policies, exchange procedures, and security measures
  • Handle monetary transactions with care, including operating cash registers, counting cash, balancing drawers, organizing charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, and processing deposits
  • Conduct price and product inquiries
  • Organize merchandise on the sales floor
  • Ensure the store is clean and well-presented
Additional Duties:
  • Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Identify and respond to security threats and thefts appropriately
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks
  • Assist in unloading stock from delivery vehicles
  • Complete any other tasks assigned by management
Qualifications:
  • Experience in retail or customer service is preferred
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • High School Diploma or GED is desirable
  • Ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere while delivering outstanding customer service, even in challenging situations
  • Physical Requirements:
    1. Capability to remain composed when faced with difficult customers
  • Proficient in sitting, standing, climbing, lifting, pulling, carrying, and coordination
