We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Risk Associate to join our team in Washington, DC.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will provide onsite and remote support to the Department of Energy's Loan Programs Office. Key responsibilities include researching credit and project risks associated with high-value loans for innovative or commercially ready clean energy generation, manufacturing projects, and advanced technology vehicle and component manufacturing projects.

  • Assist senior-level management on discrete project assignments with researching the required assessments of credit and project risks.
  • Collect research materials and review information to support risk assessment efforts.
  • Examine borrowers and guarantors of large-scale projects to determine warning signs of credit deterioration.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience and knowledge of project and corporate finance to evaluate the viability of a borrower. They must also possess skills in financial research and analysis, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.
