Job Overview

Position Title: Surgical Instrument Processing Specialist

Company: Centstone

Compensation: $22/hr

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Work Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Schedule: 8-hour Evening Shift

Role Summary:

  • Evening/Night shift required
  • On-call duties approximately every third weekend

Primary Duties:

  • Thoroughly decontaminate and sanitize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
  • Evaluate instruments for any signs of damage, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and organize instrument trays and sets in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Utilize and oversee sterilization machinery, including autoclaves.
  • Track and record sterilization procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • Preferred certification as a Surgical Instrument Processing Specialist (e.g., CRCST or CBSPD).
  • Experience in sterile processing or a related healthcare field is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with sterilization methods, equipment, and infection prevention protocols.
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
