Job Overview

PPS-HPS is in search of a dynamic Project Manager to oversee and manage HVAC projects. This role is crucial for the successful execution and coordination of HVAC Division initiatives that exceed $10,000 in scope.

The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the HVAC Division through all project phases, ensuring effective communication and management to drive team success and operational efficiency.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct site visits with relevant sales team members
  • Review project costs, provide updates, and maintain accurate accounting
  • Coordinate timely logistics for equipment and materials
  • Engage with vendors and subcontractors as necessary
  • Obtain signed bid proposals from sales with all required details
  • Facilitate clear communication among team members and management
  • Participate in project coordination meetings with dispatch and field supervisors to discuss work scope and scheduling before project initiation
  • Monitor project progress, deliver budget updates with timelines, and effectively resolve issues with results-oriented solutions
  • Seek advice and direction from the HVAC Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE)

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An associate degree or certification in project management, applied sciences, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the commercial HVAC sector, or equivalent training and experience
  • Strong leadership abilities, with skills in coaching and training
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities
  • A highly organized approach with a strong work ethic
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including active listening
  • The ability to collect, track, and analyze substantial data
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
  • Flexibility to handle diverse situations and unforeseen variables
  • The ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with team members both internally and externally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Dynamics 365, Outlook, and Teams
  • A solid understanding of modern office technology, including smartphones, mobile applications, VoIP phones, computers, printers, and copiers

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The role requires:

  • The ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • The capability to work on ladders, lifts, and at elevated heights
  • The ability to operate in confined spaces
