The Defense Health Agency is seeking a dedicated Practical Nursing Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality healthcare services to a diverse population, including military personnel and their families.

Key Responsibilities
The Practical Nursing Specialist will:
- Function as a practical nurse within a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF), delivering comprehensive nursing care.
- Gather detailed information from patients and their families to assess health concerns and reasons for seeking medical attention.
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, pain levels, height, weight, and other relevant metrics.
- Conduct behavioral health screenings and document findings accurately in patient health records.
- Provide personalized nursing care based on the physician's treatment plan, considering the physical, mental, and emotional needs of patients across all age groups.
- Assist physicians during examinations and diagnostic procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Educate patients and their families on self-care practices, documenting all teaching interactions.
- Participate in administrative and logistical duties as part of the healthcare team, contributing to the overall efficiency of the clinic.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of practical nursing experience is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
