HVAC Chiller Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chiller Mechanic to join our team at Johnson Controls International. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial, industrial, and/or institutional markets, with a strong background in chiller maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute contract maintenance visits, inspections, and site assessments to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers through effective communication.
  • Provide quote estimates for labor and material repairs and upgrades as needed.
  • Represent the company as a direct customer contact, servicing products and equipment on assigned projects.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment and systems at customer locations, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality service to customers, including occasional overtime and weekend work.
  • Participate in our on-call rotation, providing 24/7 service to our customers.

Requirements:

  • UA Mechanical Journeyman status.
  • More than 5 years of experience with all types of chillers, various compressor technologies, chiller control systems, and speed drives.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with hand-held computers.
  • Adherence to company safety program.
  • Valid driver's license, TDLR HVAC Technician License, and EPA Universal Certificate.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-call nights and weekends on a rotating basis.
