Automation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our team at Jabil. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on electro-mechanical equipment used in our manufacturing process.

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Conduct feeder maintenance, repair, and data tracking to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
• Train employees on the operation and maintenance of machinery to ensure a high level of proficiency and safety.
• May train and coordinate activities of Maintenance Assistants (MA) to ensure seamless execution of tasks.

• Able to acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Use of basic and special-purpose hand tools and leveling instruments, knowledge of torque specifications, basic mathematics, understanding of electronic color codes and other component value markings, and understanding of safety practices requirements.
• Personal computer operation in a Windows environment (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and e-mail).
• Use of specialized maintenance tracking programs.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent discipline preferred.
• Zero to two (2) years work-related experience required, preferably in electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
