Job Summary:

Weiss Memorial Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Chicago's North Side, is seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist to join our Cardiac Rehabilitation team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our wellness programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient needs and develop personalized exercise plans to promote cardiovascular health and wellness.
  • Conduct fitness testing and analyze results to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead and facilitate group exercise sessions, providing education and guidance on proper exercise techniques.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust exercise plans as needed.
  • Participate in cardiac outreach programs and coordinate wellness initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in exercise physiology and cardiac rehabilitation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • CPR certification and American College of Sports Medicine - Exercise Specialist Certification preferred.
  • Experience working in cardiac rehabilitation or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
