About the RoleThis is a Full Time 1st/2nd Shift Registered Nurse position at our Devereux Childrens Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) in Malvern, PA. Our center provides programs and services for children and adolescents who are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis within a safe and compassionate inpatient environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medication and taking doctor's orders
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to address the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
- Provide education and coping skills to patients and their families
- Assist in discharge planning and ensure a smooth transition to community-based care
- A competitive salary range of $36-$41 per hour, based on experience
- A $2,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants
- A comprehensive benefits package, including paid license renewal CEUs and paid training and professional development
- A supportive and collaborative work environment
- The opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and adolescents
- Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing with an active RN license
- One year of post-education nursing experience, preferably with individuals with cognitive and/or behavioral challenges
- Valid driver's license
