This position oversees the girls' golf program, ensuring its success and growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain the girls' golf program, including supervising assistant coaches and maintaining positive communication with patrons and parents.
- Coordinate off-season camps and conditioning programs to enhance player development.
- Encourage good sportsmanship and enthusiasm for the sport, promoting a positive team culture.
- Collaborate with other coaches to ensure a comprehensive approach to athlete development.
- Ensure compliance with MSHAA regulations and maintain accurate statistics on all players.
- A Four-Year College Degree or equivalent experience as an approved assistant coach.
- A Professional Teacher's Certificate or completion of the NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Course.
- Successful completion of a Sports First Aid course and CPR/AED training.
- Background Check and Board of Education Approval.
- Successful completion of a Concussion in Sports Course and review of current concussion information.
- Successful completion of the MSHSAA Sport-Specific Online Rules Review each season.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Missouri teaching certificate.
- Prior teaching/coaching experience.
- Language: Read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, Board policy, and administrative procedures.
- Computation: Perform basic mathematical functions and apply concepts to practical situations.
- Reasoning: Solve problems in various situations and interpret instructions.
- Other Skills and Abilities: Identify student needs and adapt instructional methods, establish effective relationships, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
This position requires consistent and regular attendance, with frequent evening and/or weekend work related to practice and competition. The individual must be able to work in a noisy and active school environment and outdoors.
