Company Overview

Prym has a rich heritage dating back to 1530, originating as a goldsmithing enterprise in Aachen, Germany. As one of the oldest industrial companies in the country, Prym has continually evolved, adapting to market demands while maintaining its core values.

Initially focused on brass production, Prym transitioned to manufacturing finished brass products, becoming a pioneer in the machine production of metal haberdashery. A significant innovation came in 1903 when Hans F. Prym enhanced the press fastener design, introducing the s-spring mechanism, which remains a staple in the industry today.

Despite nearly five centuries of transformation, one constant endures: the Prym family retains majority ownership, ensuring the company's legacy continues.
