Pay Rate: $23-25/hr

The Vehicle Emissions Testing Technician is responsible for performing emission assessments on vehicles, which includes evaluating exhaust emissions, conducting road tests, and executing various tests within a controlled climatic environment. This role also involves ensuring the precision and reliability of test outcomes, managing both physical and digital test data, and reporting findings to the Emissions Lab Manager for further analysis and feedback. The technician will also be tasked with verifying the calibration of emission testing instruments and operating test cell systems.

Key Responsibilities:
* Regularly operate vehicles on a dynamometer, requiring specialized training.
* Primarily seated at a desk or within the test vehicle.
* Occasionally required to walk, stand, or bend, with the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 100 pounds.

Work Flexibility:
* Available for two shifts: 6 AM - 3 PM and/or 3 PM - 12 AM (with mandatory PM shifts for six months of the year). Must be adaptable to work both shifts as needed.
* Work schedule determined by business needs (minimum of 40 hours/week), including occasional Saturdays and overtime.

Experience Required:
This is an entry-level position seeking individuals eager to learn and pursue a career in the automotive sector.
Preferred: 1-3 years of experience in the automotive industry.

Education Required:
* High School Diploma

Skills Required:
* Proficient in driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
* Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications.
* Highly organized and reliable.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Recent experience in the automotive field.
* Strong command of the English language.

Desired Skills:
* Familiarity with emission testing protocols.
* Formal training in customer service.
* Extensive diagnostic experience, including VAS testers.
* Proficiency in German and/or Spanish is a plus.
* Advanced skills in all Microsoft Office applications.

* Strong communication abilities, including interpersonal, presentation, and written skills.
* Excellent teamwork capabilities and interpersonal skills.
* Computer literate with software proficiency.
